Durrell Zoo

Durrell Zoo is a zoological park established in 1959 on the island of Jersey by naturalist and writer Gerald Durrell. The zoo is home to over 1,200 animals from over 160 species, including many endangered species. The zoo’s mission is to “save species from extinction” and it works to achieve this through a number of conservation programs, including breeding programs, research, and education.
